Music has an effect – or multiple effects - on a person’s perception of an experience. Would a scary scene from a movie be as frightening if the music were an upbeat, happy tune instead of the more commonly used mysterious, haunting soundtrack?
People around the world invite music into their lives to evoke feelings, or validate feelings they are already experiencing. Music can change a mood, or simply add to an experience the way a well-chosen seasoning enhances a favorite dish.
As you select a musical accompaniment to your video or audio recording, think about what kind of emotion you’d like your listeners to experience. Do you want to get people excited in anticipation? Try a Latin Cha Cha or Samba. Would you rather that listeners slow down, and experience a calm sensation while listening or watching? Try an earthy acoustic tune or loop to help relax your listeners’ minds. If you’d like your listeners to jump for joy, then give them something to jump to!

Congrats on the launch of BumperTunes. What a great concept and great site!
